Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy explains how EA Fiscalité inc. (“EA Fiscalité”) collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects the personal information of its clients and of visitors to its website, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and the professional secrecy of chartered professional accountants.
2. Information collected and purposes
From its clients, EA Fiscalité collects only the information required for the mandates entrusted to it, including identity, contact details and tax and financial information. This information is used to carry out mandates, to meet its legal and professional obligations and to bill for its services. The website has no forms; it collects only technical data through cookies (section 6).
3. Consent and withdrawal
By entrusting a mandate to EA Fiscalité, the client consents to the use of its information for the purposes described above. The client may withdraw consent at any time, subject to EA Fiscalité's legal and professional obligations; withdrawal may, however, prevent the mandate from continuing.
4. Disclosure
EA Fiscalité does not sell or rent any personal information. It discloses such information only with the consent of the person concerned or where permitted or required by law, including to tax authorities in the course of mandates and to the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec in the course of professional inspection.
5. Service providers, artificial intelligence and disclosure outside Québec
EA Fiscalité entrusts the storage and processing of information to service providers, including cloud services, accounting software and artificial intelligence tools. These providers may process information outside Québec, including in the United States. Before any disclosure, EA Fiscalité assesses the protection offered and enters into a written agreement providing for the confidentiality, limited use and destruction of the information. Artificial intelligence tools are used under the supervision of a professional; no decision is made solely through automated processing.
6. Cookies
The website, hosted by Squarespace, uses cookies necessary for its operation and, with your consent, audience measurement cookies. Non-essential cookies are activated only after you consent, and you may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
7. Security and incidents
Only persons who need the information to carry out a mandate have access to it. Staff and collaborators are bound by confidentiality. Any confidentiality incident is recorded in a register; if it presents a risk of serious injury, EA Fiscalité notifies the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned.
8. Retention and destruction
Files are retained for at least the period required by the regulations applicable to chartered professional accountants, then securely destroyed.
9. Your rights
Any person may request access to information concerning them, its correction or the withdrawal of consent. Requests must be made in writing to the person in charge (section 12). EA Fiscalité responds within 30 days.
10. Complaints
Complaints must be made in writing to the person in charge, who responds within 30 days. A dissatisfied person may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
